Halloween Monster Cookies

These Halloween Monster Cookies bring in thespook AND cuteness factor - all in one! Plus, they’re really easy to make, andyou probably have the majority of the ingredients already in your pantry.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups vanilla cake mix about one standard box
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ tsp green gel food coloring
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ cup white frosting
  • Black decorating frosting

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  • Mix cake mix, oil and eggs in a large bowl.
  • Add gel food coloring to the batter and mix until completely tinted.
  • Pour each sugar in its own bowl.
  • Roll about 1 ½ tablespoons worth of batter into bowl of granulated sugar, forming it into a ball about 1 ½ inches in size.
  • Next, roll coated cookie ball into powdered sugar.
  • Set each cookie on the lined cookie sheet, about 2 inches away from each other.
  • Bake for 11 to 13 minutes and allow to cool before decorating.
  • Scoop white frosting into a piping bag with Wilton tip #8 attached.
  • Attach Wilton tip #3 to the black decorating frosting.
  • Pipe out white circles on each cookie, about 3-4 on each. Next, top each white circle with black frosting, smaller than the white circle.
