We came, we saw, we conquered. Here’s our family’s honest Toy Story Land Review. (Spoiler alert: We’re already itching to go back.)
Okay, I take it back – Leo did not, in fact, conquer the Slinky Dog Dash. He will in a few years though!
I’d like to think that I am properly molding my family into lifelong Disney lovers. My husband, who didn’t quite understand my Disney obsession when we first met, is now totally committed to Mickey and his whole gang. Our son now recognizes characters, television series and appreciates the magic that all the parks have to offer. (Such a “mama win” for me!)
On our most recent visit to Walt Disney World, we were eager to check out Toy Story Land. The section opened at Hollywood Studios on June 30 2018, so we had just missed it when we were on our previous trip.
Super colorful, super fun and oh-so animated – we’re here to share our Toy Story Land Review. Let’s go!
Our Family’s Disney Travel Diary: Toy Story Land Review
Woody is Front and Center
And, I’m not lying when I say that. Upon entrance to Toy Story Land, there stands a large Woody statue, ready to welcome you into the park’s most playful section! Plus, it’s a great place for a photo-op. In fact, there’s a Disney PhotoPass photographer ready to snap a pic of your fam in front of Disney’s most famous cowboy!
Expect Lots of Color
Color, color everywhere! Even the restrooms and garbage bins are bright and cheerful – a true reflection of the Toy Story franchise.
Grab Your FastPasses
All of the main attractions in Toy Story Land have FastPasses available, so be sure to grab them as soon as you can. Slinky Dog Dash is one of the Hollywood Studio’s most popular rides, so we recommend that you strategize your FastPasses for the day wisely.
It’s All in the Details
From the artwork on the walls down to the giant toys, it makes it clear that Disney put in a lot of effort in recreating the “Toy Story” world. The moment you arrive, you never want to leave and just feel like a big kid at heart!
Toy Story Mania! Is Great for the Whole Family
We ended our day at Hollywood Studios with Toy Story Mania! – and boy, was it ever a blast! Leo was able to join in on the fun (younger toddlers can’t really do the other Toy Story Land attractions) so it was a great way to wrap-up our perfect visit.
So, to sum up our Toy Story Land review and what you should expect:
- Look out for the large Woody statue right at the entrance – makes for a wonderful photo!
- It’s bright and colorful, so have fun!
- Strategize your FastPasses for the day (I’ve heard that you can only have one Toy Story Land FastPass for the whole day – your remaining ones can be used for other attractions within Hollywood Studios).
- Expect lots of fun details like giant toy figurines!
- Toy Story Mania! is an attraction worth checking out – especially if you have little ones.

I cannot wait until my nephew and niece are old enough because I want to take them here. It looks like such a fun place to go and I know they would love it.
