Why We’re Excited to Spend This Weekend at Quartier DIX30

Our family’s looking forward to a super eventful weekend – and that includes a block party at Quartier DIX30.

Quartier Dix30 is a large lifestyle/shopping center in the Greater Montreal Area and this is how we spend our weekends there!
This blog post is in partnership with Quartier DIX30 – we couldn’t be more thrilled for our weekend at our favorite lifestyle centre! All opinions are 100% my own – party on!

Time to put our party hats on!

For anyone who knows me, I’m all about shopping. Guilty as charged, I’ve been a shopaholic since my innocent teen years.

Fast forward to now, I’m way more responsible with my spending habits, but I still appreciate a good shopping area – one that’s filled with quality boutiques and delicious restaurants.

A year ago, our family made the move to Quebec’s South Shore. It’s considered to be a part of the Greater Montreal Area and is only a 15-minute drive (sans traffic) to get past a bridge and land in the heart of Downtown Montreal.

Being that close to the city, you’d think that we’d constantly be making our way to the hustle and bustle of Montreal’s beautiful streets. While we do enjoy a night out on the town, the South Shore has proven to be absolutely gorgeous. It’s family-friendly and makes efforts to stay environmentally-conscious. Most importantly, a suburb within “The Shore” called Brossard houses the oh-so famous Quartier DIX30 – and we find ourselves there on the daily!

Filled with amazing stores (umm, hello, Pottery Barn & Pottery Barn Kids!) with free indoor
parking (a blessing to moms all over), and colorful play areas for kids; Quartier DIX30 is
considered to be Canada’s first lifestyle centre. It occupies an area of over 2.5 million square
feet, so you can imagine all the things you can do down there!

Our Family’s Spending this Weekend at Quartier DIX30 – Here’s Why!

If you watch my IG stories, you’ll know that Leo and I spend tons of time at Quartier DIX30. There’s a really cute play area for kids, a beautiful fountain (that Leo can’t get enough of), and some of our favourite restaurants (just ask the staff at Siam – we’re always grabbing dinner there!).

What’s fantastic is that Quartier DIX30 hosts tons of events. As if shopping and dining at quality establishments wasn’t enough, Quartier DIX30 puts together amazing shows and family-friendly celebrations.

This weekend, from Saturday, July 06, 2019 to Sunday, July 07, 2019, Quartier DIX30 will be holding their first edition of The Quartier’s Block Party.

A block party?! Yes, Yes, YES!

I’ve only ever heard about block parties but have never actually been to one.

…but there’s a first time for everything, right?!

You can bet that our family will be spending time at Quartier DIX30 this weekend. Taking place on both days from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Quartier DIX30’s retailers will be setting-up shop outside. The area will be filled with fun, celebration and its Esplanade crosswalks will be transformed into golden canvases.

Imagine shopping through bazaars with live DJs or relaxing on a terrace to take in the summer breeze – well, you can do it this weekend at Quartier DIX30. This will be a block party to remember! Plus, participating artists like Charlotte Ratel, Olivier Charland, and Roadsworth (just to name a few) will be inviting guests to find new and unusual perspectives in urban art.

Plus, the cherry on top: Quartier DIX30 will hold a Free Bike Lending Program during the event.

  1. Sounds like an awesome place for a weekend with the family! I like that it has a large play area for the kids. Oh and that indoor parking! I have to make sure we visit this place if we get a chance to travel there.

    • Hey Kristine!

Do you come to Montreal, QC often? If so, then Quartier DIX30 is SO worth checking out – especially if you’re making it a shopping trip!

    • Catalina

If ever you find you find yourself visiting Montreal, then it’s worth the drive to Quartier DIX30. It is so beautiful with just as much shopping (even more, I would say) and so much more peaceful than the busy city!

  2. I am so excited to read this and to pin. I’ll be traveling there next June for my first time and we are so excited about it.

    • Rena,

That is SO exciting! I was born and raised here in Montreal/Greater Montreal Area! If you need any travel tips, let me know!
