Taking on a minimalist approach when it comes to my everyday bag.
I started my maternity leave exactly one month before delivering my baby. At that point, I was in and out of hospital appointments and running only necessary (but quick) errands. Lucky for me, Joe was up to doing all the hard work so that I could get a kick-start on my nesting time. If ever I did step out the door, I always had my trusty purse on me, an Olivia bag from Roots Canada that I have owned for years.
During this period, I learned what items have become essential for my purse. Because I didn’t go out too much on my own, I didn’t need to bring as many things in my bag. I’m also usually one to rotate purses but this time around, I stayed loyal to my “Olivia” because of its durability, comfort, and size.
Here’s what I carried around for the last 30 days:
One: My wallet – an extra-large zip-up from Fossil that has all the compartments you can think of.
Two: My Coach wristlet that holds all of my membership and “etc.” cards.
