Today, I’m showing you the ropes on how to navigate Quartier DIX30 – our family’s favourite lifestyle centre.
…and it’s only 10 minutes away from Montreal!
Two years ago, my husband and I decided to take the plunge and move to the outskirts of the big city. I was always a suburb girl but lived on the island of Montreal right after college (mainly out of convenience). My husband moved to Montreal from Europe (nearly 13 years ago!) and loved his experience.
Then, we met – then came marriage and a baby carriage… well, you know the rest!
Quebec’s “South Shore” area is full of life and is incredibly charming. Most importantly, it houses Canada’s first ever lifestyle centre, Quartier DIX30. Also known simply as “DIX30,” it is the ultimate shopping and dining destination. It takes up over 2 million square feet and is located in the heart of Brossard, one of the largest boroughs of the area. Quartier DIX30 has so much to offer – from lavish restaurants to upscale boutiques. Lucky for our little family, we’re only an eight-minute drive away from it.
Hop right in! I’m incredibly excited to show you around:
How to Navigate Quartier DIX30
Quartier DIX30 is divided into 7 sections. Below, I highlighted all of my favourite stores and restaurants in the lavish lifestyle centre. Brace yourself – Quartier DIX30 boasts over 300 stores and restaurants. You can take a look at their official store directory here. In the meantime, here are some of my favourites:
1. Home Décor Section
2. WalMart & Adonis
You can often find us in this section – mainly completing weekly groceries and errands. Psst: There’s also a Marshall’s in this little sector, where my husband often has to pull me out and get me out of my shopping trance!
3. The Square
When I make plans with friends, we usually meet at The Square because it houses some of the best stores and restaurants. We’re regulars at Siam and Lov, and we often go shopping at Zara, Sporting Life, and H&M.
4. Halte Gourmande
If ever we’re stuck on dinner ideas, my husband and I make our way to Halte Gourmande. The section is lively with some of the best foodie destinations. We like to pick up fresh fish from Odessa and purchase our baked goods from Premiere Moisson.
5. Avenue des Lumières
6. Power Centre
The Power Centre section is huge! Joe and I love going here on date nights. We often head to Brossard’s Cineplex VIP Theatre for a fun evening (Movies and dinner all in one place?! Yes, please!). We also find ourselves in the Power Centre every week for my regular trips to Bulk Barn.
7. THE BLOK
Dix30’s newest section is oh-so charming and oh-so colourful! It’s a new concept, where art meets fashion in the most creative way.
When I heard about THE BLOK, I excitedly made my way over during opening week to take a peek at some of their boutiques. Of course, the one that resonated with me most was Boutique Mini Moi – a store made especially for kids. It boasts quality, local brands and an open area for play. Boutique Mini Moi has it all: from kids clothing to furniture, toys to home accessories. Safe to say, our family will be visiting regularly!
