Decorating our master bedroom with a minimalist approach: keeping things bright, spacious, and clean. Here is our Master Bedroom Room Reveal.
If there’s anything that I can dub as my official pet peeve, it’s clutter. Can’t have it, won’t have it, will get rid of it.
To me, a bedroom should be personal. It should be a place where one can seek comfort and safety. When we finally chose a place to make our big move, I researched “master bedroom ideas” first and foremost. I knew exactly what I wanted: white walls, a sturdy bed, and touches of femininity with a light colour palette (and Joe agreed – yay!).
Ladies and gents, I present to you: our master bedroom!
Master Bedroom Room Reveal
For our colour palette, I opted for a soft, blush pink. When it comes to colours, I like changing it up every season or so. This is exactly why I chose to keep my walls white. Painting and repainting takes up time and money. By keeping my “canvas” clear, I could have fun with other details in the room.
I have always been a fan of duvet covers. They’re easy to clean and I can switch up the size of the actual duvet depending on the season (yes, large and thick duvets are a must for Canada’s colder winters).
Currently, our bed is boasting this Shauny 100% Turkish Cotton Luxury Duvet Cover. If you look closely, it actually has a striped pattern. It is so soft and breathable. I especially love its zip-up feature to secure your duvet inside. Perfect.
A Quilted Throw
To add more pink details, I went for this quilted throw to place at the end of our bed.
These pillow cases were one of my most simple yet, best purchases for the house. Its 1800 thread count ensures a softness like no other and I just love the embroidered details.
While we did a mix of shopping in-store and online, my experience on wayfair.ca has been nothing but smooth. I just love that with a click of a button, I can get what I want at a reasonable time. I love their Room Ideas section – it gives me plenty of inspiration on how to decorate and elevate each room in our home. Plus, if you find something that you like within their Room Ideas, you can purchase it directly just by clicking the image.
