I’m in it for the food: here are the best Canada’s Wonderland snacks to munch on.
So you’re planning a trip to Canada’s Wonderland, eh? I bet you’ve got a checklist of rides to try, you’ve packed your bathing suit for their oh-so thrilling Splash Works waterpark, and you’re ready to watch every show and meet every Peanuts character possible.
But wait… did you bring your appetite?
On our most recent family trip, we paid Canada’s Wonderland a visit and the foodies in us couldn’t help but scour all the best restos and food carts. Here’s what we found:
How to Be a Foodie at Canada’s Wonderland: Snacks You Won’t Want to Miss
Foot-Long Hot Dogs
For lunch, we opted for a classic “carnival-style” meal. Hot dogs, nachos, and soft drinks… such a classic (all I felt we were missing was cotton candy and caramel popcorn!). Our foot-long hot dog was full of flavour and really filled our bellies. Seriously, when I say bring your appetite, I really mean: Bring. Your. Appetite.
Are you ready to see over 20 varieties of homemade fudge? Then pop into Canada’s Wonderland’s Sweet Shoppe and be amazed with all the flavours they carry. From Cookies ‘N Cream to Strawberry Shortcake, you’ll find a piece of fudge that’s totally worthy of your taste buds.
Give Me All the Cheese!
When we spotted Canada’s Wonderland’s snack stand, Alpen Cheesery, we just knew to dine there for dinner. At Alpen Cheesery, they serve grilled cheese and a variety of mac n cheeses. You like carbs? Then pay it a visit… I mean, calories don’t count when you’re on vacation, right?
We got to know the oh-so-famous funnel cake. Funnel cakes are the epitome of Canada’s Wonderland snacks. With various snack stands offering them, you definitely won’t forget to try one out. (Pssst: we went for the park favourite, strawberry and ice cream.)
What kind of snacks will you be trying on your next visit to Canada’s Wonderland?
