Every year for Valentine’s Day, Joe includes a Victoria’s Secret gift card in my V-Day package. It’s a tradition that I look forward to because it’s a great way (and a good reminder!) to update my intimates drawer on a regular basis.

This year is no different. I was thrilled to see my pink-striped card holder, but ever since I gave birth, I’ve been sporting nursing bras for their convenience and comfort. For now, I have safely tucked away my VS dollars. Once the time rolls around, I’ll be hitting up some shops for the best in bras and bralettes.

Here are some styles I look forward to purchasing:

{one} The trim on this lacy number.

{two} I will definitely be in need of a sports bra – love the details on this one!

{three} Wireless and a lace trim: a winning combination

{four} With all the weddings I’ll be attending this year, a strapless bra will be essential (and an ultimate necessity!).

{five} This bralette just screams varsity fashion (and is totally adhering to my Riverdale obsession).

A few fashionable suggestions for your next purchase in intimates. The best of bras and bralettes

  1. The orange one (burnt orange, dark peach?) is super cute. I have tried a couple of bralettes before, but I think they’re made for smaller chested women (bless them) because I ended up with the dreaded uni-boob in some and/or it feels like I’m not wearing anything at all

    • Katie,

Yes, I totally agree with you. I have yet to try on a bralette (since I am breastfeeding). I wonder how they will look!

  2. Those are so great! My favorite is the one in black lace. It’s got a super cute shape with just the right amount of sass. Honestly, I might just go out and get all of them. They’re so pretty!

  3. I need a new strapless bra! I have 3 weddings coming up this year, and a few already planned for next year so this is a much needed purchase asap. Shopping at VS is always dangerous, and they can’t ever get rid of their sports bras! They are the only ones that can handle the boobs while I run, minimal bouncing and I don’t chafe either.

    • Lynzy,

I’m in the exact same boat as you! I’ve got 3 weddings coming up, two of which I am a bridesmaid for. I’ll definitely need some strapless bras!

  4. I gravitate more toward the Wireless and a lace trim bras. They are more comfortable for me to wear on a daily basis. It seems to flatter my shape better as well. Thank you for your suggestions.

  5. I really need to restock my undie drawer! My bras no longer fit since I lost some weight. Of course the first thing o go were my boobs lol.
I also want to try some wireless bras this year. Before I had to wear wires! I want comfort!

    • Bites for Foodies,

My default colors are black and nude. However, I think I’m going to spring into some colorful choices this season – it’s cute when a colorful strap peaks out from a halter top or a tank!

  6. I am very choosy when it comes to bra I like it comfortable and stylish. The burnt orange and gray are my favorites. I can wear the gray for my work out or for everyday use it looks like very comfy. I had to make another trip to VS I’ve never been to this store for quite a while now.

  7. Oh yes, my underwear drawer is definitely due for a major overhaul! I have bras that are literally hanging on by a thread. I really need some cuter stuff, too. For me, the biggest problem is that I need something that really supports, but I can’t stand underwire. Sports bras are usually my pick!

    • Nikki,

I totally feel you! If I could get away with it, I’ll purchase a bra with no underwire.
