Back in college, my best friends and I would make annual trips to NYC for a taste of high-fashion. Being born and raised in Montreal, we were lucky enough to have access to iconic brands that housed their boutiques within our city. Still, there was something so fresh and exciting about visiting the Big Apple on our Easter breaks.

Aside from the usual fashion-mecca suspects of New York, Paris and Milan, here are four more fashion-forward cities every fashionista must visit!
With a huge emphasis on healthy lifestyle and embracing the outdoors, it’s no surprise that Vancouver-based brands have managed to combine fashion and function. This city is home to Arc’teryx, Herschel Supply Co. and wings+horns, just to name a few.
Many designers can credit their success to Antwerp’s Royal Academy of Fine Arts. Some of the most successful fashion heavyweight alumni include Maison Margiela, Raf Simons, Dries Van Noten and Dirk Bikkembergs. With fashion superstars like those, Antwerp has proven that they are here to stay on the global fashion scene.
SEOUL (South Korea)
Much of Seoul’s fashion aesthetic takes Western inspiration and kicks it up a notch with its own Eastern twist. This fashion scene is best known for its street style with the use of bold and flamboyant colors and detailing. The growing K-POP phenomenon has only helped push this city further into the fashion spotlight. Seoul’s most notable brands are Liful and Wooyoungmi.
Known for its unusual and eccentric street wear aesthetic, Tokyo’s fashion scene pulls from within its own culture and heritage. Local brands like Comme des Garcons and Yohji Yamamoto and have shown staying power in the global fashion world with their own labels as well as collaborating with other mass-market brands.
