The best time to enjoy peach salad is right when peaches ripen and you can buy them fresh at your farmer’s market. You are going to love how sweet they taste – especially when you grill them. You see, grilling the peaches caramelizes the natural sugars and creates a deeper taste that is unforgettable.

If you are looking for a different kind of salad recipe, then try this one! The sweet peaches complement the tart arugula – and they are all tied together with the tangy balsamic glaze.

How To Make Salad With Grilled Peaches

If you haven’t tried to grill your peaches yet, you are really missing out! Sure, a fresh peach tastes amazing on a salad, but when you grill it, it completely alters the taste and makes it richer.

Thankfully, you don’t need lots of fancy equipment to do it either – just some aluminum foil and your grill.

Here’s what you’ll need from the store. The exact amounts are in the printable recipe card at the bottom of this post.

Grilled Peach Salad Tips

As simple as this is, I still want to share some tips that will help you out as you make it. You can always skip down to the recipe card too if you want!

Peaches Don’t Have To Be Very Ripe

It’s actually better to use peaches that aren’t very ripe yet. This way they won’t cook too quickly and get mushy. If your peaches are really ripe, watch them closely as you grill them because they might cook faster.

Foil Is Optional

I suggest using aluminum foil but is optional. It will protect your grill and make cleaning up a lot easier and faster.

If you place the peaches directly on your grill, it will give them beautiful grill marks – so it is really up to you.

3 peaches, a bottle of honey, and arugula.

Cutting Peaches

Cutting peaches are very much like cutting avocados. You cut it in half, right where the pit is, and twist! I find that they’re much harder to twist than avocados, so you might have to put in a bit more elbow grease to split it.

For this recipe, in particular, you’ll want to cut them into slices- about 3 per half.

Slice The Peaches Evenly

In order for them to grill at the same time, slice the peaches into even pieces. I tried to make each slice about an inch thick. The size isn’t as important as making sure they are all the same.

Homemade Dressing

A touch of honey, lemon juice, and apple cider vinegar give this Grilled Peach Salad its sweet and salty taste. Plus, I’ve made it easy to remember by giving the ingredients a “3-2-1” measurement: 3 tablespoons of honey, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, and 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar.

Toss It All Up

Once your peaches are grilled, toss them in with your arugula and bocconcini. Then, drizzle it with the honey dressing and top it off with a balsamic glaze and crushed almonds.

How To Store Grilled Peaches

You should store your grilled peaches in the refrigerator inside an airtight container. They will last up to 3 days. The longer they stay in the refrigerator, the softer they will become. I suggest enjoying them as quickly as possible.

How Long Homemade Dressing Lasts

I love making homemade salad dressing! It will last quite a while in the refrigerator if you seal it in an airtight container. Homemade vinegar and oil dressing will last up to 3 months in the refrigerator this way.

My favorite way to store homemade salad dressing is in a mason jar with a lid that screws on tight. Then, before I drizzle it on my salad, I just give it a nice shake so that it mixes back together.

Other Salad Toppings

This salad is perfect if you are gluten-free! You can make it Whole30 compliant by skipping the fresh cheese on top. If you are on the keto diet, be careful with how many peaches you use and definitely use a sugar-free sweetener instead of honey.

Add your favorite salad toppings to this dish. Try it with any of these ideas:

  • Broccoli
  • Snap Peas
  • Cucumber
  • Spinach
  • Strawberries

  3. I have been eating a bunch of salads this summer. It worked well since I ended up being home alone for most of the summertime. Cooking a meal for one person seems silly and with health problems choosing a salad with meat or cheese made more sense. I haven’t tried adding grilled fruit or fruit in general to my salad.
