Friday Favorites: Your Lovely Face

All-star treatments for that lovely face of yours.

Masks, cleaning regimens, and DIY solutions for your lovely face.

This week, I had enough. I was tired, I felt icky, and I just wanted a little break.

I managed to slip away and visited my local Dr. Hauschka Spa for a full body treatment (an hour and a half’s worth!). It was definitely worth while. I decided to continue the self-pampering with some at-home mask treatments. Most importantly, I gave my face a mini treatment with one of Lush’s most popular products.

Yes, I realize that we all deserve a break. I know that I can get carried away with the hustle and bustle of every day life, but I can’t work until I burst (much like I did this past week). No, I probably won’t be making weekly spa bookings, but I have to remember that my overall well-being is important to both myself and my family.

Here are some tips for that lovely face of yours. Go on. Give yourself some time off. Even if it’s for a few minutes:

  1. Love avocados? Then you’ll definitely love this homemade mask. (karissavegankitchen.com)
  2. Make your own firming clay mask with this lovely recipe (beautycrafter.com)
  3. Can’t wait to try this beauty out (drhauschka.com)
  4. How to properly wash your face – according to the one and only Michelle Phan (michellephan.com)

  1. I had no idea there was an “official” way to wash my face! Great tips on that post, and the DIY recipe for the clay mask is so easy. Easy updates to my beauty routine. 🙂

  2. Ooh, I love making my own beauty products, so I’ll definitely be giving some of these ideas a try. The avocado mask and the firming clay mask sound right up my street! I’ll let you know how I get on if I give them a go 🙂

  3. Thank-you so much for posting about these! I’m always in the market for things for my skin, and have been thinking about making some myself. That way I know what’s in them. I’m especially excited to try the avocado face mask! x

  4. Cool natural treatments for your skin and to be able to relax. I definitely could use some of those all natrual treatments. I know that at my library today they did make some pretty cool face masks and beauty products.

  5. This comes at the perfect time! I have just been looking for some DIY face masks. It is so hard with the summer heat on my skin! Thanks and can’t wait to try these!
