Time to get spooked – but with a fun, family-friendly twist. Here’s our Camp Spooky Review from our recent trip to Canada’s Wonderland.

We had a spooky good time – and meeting Peanuts characters was a huge plus.
Every summer growing up, my family and I drove out to Canada’s Wonderland. It’s about a 6-7 hour drive from Montreal, so we would make a weekend out of it (it also helped that my aunt and cousin lived in Toronto).
Now that I have a family of my own, I’ve been following the same tradition. The first year we brought Leo to the theme park, we played-up our role as foodies and explored all the great snacks they have to offer.
This year, our summer was filled to the brim with plans. We wanted so desperately to squeeze in a trip to Canada’s Wonderland but there simply wasn’t enough time.
We decided to head to the theme park during the fall – and what a great decision it was. Luckily on the day of our visit, we were blessed with great weather. It was a crisp, fall day with no rain and just sunshine. (Thank you, Mother Nature!) Since we visited on the first weekend of October, their oh-so-famous Camp Spooky was in full swing.
As a mom, I’m constantly on the prowl for fun activities with the kiddos. This is why I decided to give you our honest Camp Spooky review – we enjoyed it so much! It’s definitely a great way to kick off the autumn season with the entire family!
Our Family’s Trip to Canada’s Wonderland: Camp Spooky Review
The idea behind Canada’s Wonderland’s Camp Spooky is to provide scare-free activities for the kiddos, while getting them into the Halloween/Fall spirit.
Come in Dressed Up!
One of the best parts to Halloween? Getting dressed up! Be sure to get your kiddo excited by coming into the park in full costume.
So Thematic!
The first thing I noticed when we entered Planet Snoopy (Canada’s Wonderland’s kid-friendly section) was all the Halloween décor and details. It was totally decked out! It definitely got us into the spooky spirit and created such a fun ambiance for our little one.
Dixieland Band
Roaming around the grounds of Camp Spooky is the Dixieland Band. They were extremely entertaining and dressed for the occasion!
Meeting Our Favourite Characters
No trip to Canada’s Wonderland is complete without saying hi to our fave Peanuts characters!
Camp Spooky’s Trick-or-Treating Experience
At Camp Spooky, kids are given the chance to trick-or-treat within the park. There are stations that give out candy – you can find them on the map that’s provided at the entrance of Planet Snoopy!
Camp Spooky will be open every weekend from September 28, 2019 to October 27, 2019. I hope you have a blast with your little ones – and have a spookin’ good time!

I love Wonderland! I’ve not yet been to the Camp Spooky, but I’ve gone a few times this summer to the non-cool themed park. Looks like I nee to return for the fun autumn things!
Oh boy, this place looks like fun! I love seeing how theme parks liven up their scenery for the holidays.

This looks like so much fun! What a great way to celebrate fall.
The Peanuts gang has always been my favorite. That park looks like so much fun and for Halloween it seems like the best amusement park.
This looks like a blast! I know we’d love it there. I’ve always been a fan of Snoopy.
I wish we would have went in the fall, but we did go in the summer about 4 years ago. It looks like it would be fun to go when it’s all decorated for the autumn season. We do go to their sister park, Cedar Point, once a year, and it’s really fun when they do their Halloweekends in October.
I have never heard of this place before that is definitely a place to check out. It looks like a lot of fun during Halloween time.

My youngest son would love to visit camp spooky. The beautiful fall colors go perfect with the Wonderland theme park. I’d love to take my son one day.
